The TV image quality has entered a bottle neck, and the HDR brings chance for TV image enhancing, which is also broadly noticed and applied in the industry, but the perfect HDR effect need all from contents, TV screen to chip codec. Currently there are many HDR standards, the most popular ones are HDR-10, HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) and Dolby Vision. HDR-10 supports 10bit color, and now on market 4k blue rayand several internet media support this format;HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) is a HDR format registered by BBC and NHK, based on HLG, a single signal can support both HDR TV and non-HDR TV; and Dolby Vision was proposed by Dolby in 2009, providing an ecosystem from picturing to transmitting and display, this format is supported by part of Hollywood movie companies and Netflix and part of TV manufactures.


Mario Smart TV Box use the Amlogic’s S905X chip and S912 chip support the mainstream HDR format on market, and Amlogic is the first SOC company in the world to support HLG HDR format. To be specific, S905X supports HDR10 and HLG, S912 supports HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision;  can greatly enhance fidelity and thus can enhance image quality in a way of brightness, color and contrast.
